Now is the time to stay strong!
While many of us are working from home, virtual learning with closed schools, and generally not in our regular routine, many fine local organizations and charities are struggling due to the loss of most of their fundraising programs and events. Many organizations are working hard to respond to the effects of COVID-19 and we would like to help any way we can! The Vital Communities Fun Run is our chance to help by simply doing what we already love to do, exercise!
Best of all, 100% of your entry fee goes to the organization selected by your community!
To join your neighbors in the Vital Communities Fun Run, follow these three simple steps:
- Register: Choose either the 5K or 1-mile, registration open until 3 p.m. on April 21, 2020
- Exercise: Run or Walk the distance you signed up for, do it in 1 day or space out over a few
- Record: Submit your time to ItsYourRace.com by 6 p.m., April 21, 2020. If you have trouble inputting your time, email it to jimshieldsmra@comcast.net. For more information about posting your time, scroll to the bottom of this page.
When you register, be sure to select your community so your full registration fee is donated to the correct organization.
Results will be posted in the April 23 community email communication!

Social Distancing
To stay within the guidelines established by the CDC, we recommend that walkers and runners complete this Fun Run on their own or stay further than 6-feet apart.

Submitting Your Time
Visit the results page, then select the results for your distance (1 mile or 5K).Find your name in the results for your distance by clicking on RACE. To the right of your name, you will see an "Update Time" button. Click "Update Time" and enter your result.
Note: If you are not currently logged into ItsYourRace, a login window will appear. Log in using your ItsYourRace user id (probably your email address) and password. Can't remember? Click "Forgot Your Password" to reset.Enter your time and click the "Save Your Time" button. That's it!
